What is the most challenging part of Indian arts exhibitions abroad? |
|
| |
|
India is shining around the world in many areas and world has high expectations for whatever that comes out of India. Indian Art is no exceptions. Standing in the art gallery in foreign country and proudly say “This is work of our talented Indian artists” is the only single challenge in these exhibitions. We expect highly creative artists of India to participate in a big way in all our exhibitions abroad. Every year we deny hundreds of artists entry into our exhibition even though they are all ready to pay contributions for the exhibitions. |

What do we firmly believe in? |
|
| |
|
1) Living with Dignity is the only Fine Art of Life. Everything else is a commercial art for survival. 2) If you love ART,look at ART.Not the Singature. 3) All types of creative arts are Sacred and Divine. None is superior to others. 4)Art should liberate artists to be rebels and defy any forces that limits their capacity to express fearlessly. |

What are the highlights of previous exhibitions in Indonesia? |
|
| |
|
Exhibition in Jakarta in 2008 was a pathbreaking event. We had printed the email addresses and cell phone number each artist on the price tags of each painting in the exhibition. WE are extremely happy to tell you that many art buyers from abroad have directly contacted our artists who participated in jakarta exhibition and bought thier paintings too.
With our publicity in various media and continuos help from Indian Embassy and Indian cultural centre in Indonesia, we have created a market for Indian art which was non-exixtent in Indonesia. All art gallery owners and art buyers in Indonesia come in thousands to see our exhibition and many of our artists have been contacted directly by art buyers in Indonesia and other countries.
As a policy we hold exhibition in most famous cultural centre of Indonesia which is Taman Ismail marzuki which is biggest centre for Art / theatre / dance / films etc.
1) Every year our exhibition is inaugurated by H.E.Indian Ambassador of India and a grand party is thrown every year by Indian Cultural centre in jakarta for the opening day of the exhibition. This year a classic Indian dance program was arrange at the inauguration function
2)We have sold more than 100 paintings so far in our exhibitions in Indonesia and all artists' money has been paid (except one artist)THE MOST IMPORTANT HIGHLIGHT OF THIS YEAR IS THAT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN LAST 5 YEARS OUR ARTISTS HAVE BEEN CONTACTED BY ART BUYERS ABROAD AND THEY ACTUALLY PURCHSED PAINTINGS FROM OUR ARTISTS WITHOUR ANY COMISSION TO ANYONE.
3) More than 3000 art lovers visited our exhbn in 2008 and more than 600 art lovers actually signed into our guestbook
4) Massive media publicity was done in order to invite attention of art lovers in jakarta-Major Newspapers and websites as well as magazines fully projected our exhibition in jakarta.
5 )We are never responsible for any damage or loss of any artworks in our exhibition abroad but there has not been a single case of any loss of artworks in last previous 8exhibitions.
Those artists who want their artworks back immediately after the exhibition should inform us in writing so that we can bring back artworks after the exhibition while coming back to India.
6)Many highly brilliant but financially poor artists are included in the exhibition without any contributions from them.Since it's inception,Indian Artists Network has always promoted financially weaker artists who are highly creative. All such artists if selected need to do donate one high quality work to us in order to cover the cost of the exhibition. This too after passing through strict selection criterion.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR PAINTINGS AS DONATION DIRECTLY .We do not intend to collect artworks just because artists are ready to donate it to us.ONLY HIGH QUALITY ARTWORKS WILL BE SELECTED AND THEN ACCEPTED AFTER INFORMING THE SELECTED ARTISTS. |
